The role would involve collecting him from The Unicorn School in Abingdon at 3:45pm, driving him home, and spending some calm, structured time with him.

After a full school day, he benefits from a patient and a reassuring adult who can help him unwind — this might include having a snack, doing some light reading or homework, and supporting a relaxed transition into the evening. The emphasis is very much on creating a calm, positive end to the school day rather than formal childcare.

The role would be Monday to Friday during term time -2:30pm to 6:30pm. Extra hours are available in the holidays and he does attend a private school with longer holidays.
