Are you struggling to think of what your child should be for World book? Us too.

For my 8 year old hes not to keen on dressing up so we've gone for "When I grow up, I'm going to play for ENGLAND" and he's going to wear his England football kit to school on Thursday.

Here are some other ideas for you:

  • What the Ladybird Heard - your child could wear a ladybird costume, red dress or top and skirt and add some black dots, fairy wings and headband.

  • Paddington - your child could wear red hat, blue coat or clothes, red socks and a suitcase.

  • Dog Man - your child needs a blue T-shirt, blue cap, jeans and brown shoes, you could add by using face paint and drawing a dog face on.

  • Witch from Room on the Broom - your child could wear a witches costume or black clothes with a black cape, wand, witches broom and hat.

  • Burglar Bill - your child could wear black tracksuit bottoms and a stripey jumper. You could then make a bandits eye mask.

  • Alice in Wonderland - your child could wear a blue dress, white apron and a hair bow.

  • Harry Potter/Hermione Granger - your child could wear a black cape, white shirt, normal school trousers, glasses for harry potter and a drawn on scar and wand. Stripey scarf.
